Here is the Final Portfolio

Again like all of my other work it looks like the drawing.  I am not the most artistic but I had fun.

The Portfolio for then Artistic Tom Philie

I decided to go with a very simple theme that I though best showed off my work.  As with all my projects the way I draw them is the way the look when I am done.

I have decided to use a menu bar at the top and on the left have a simple logo while on the right have my navigation buttons.

upper middle is a slider of some of my work.

then there are my port folios that you would click on and bring you to my work.

At the bottom I used a Simpson characterization of myself as a Simpson character as well as my real picture.

My e-Card is about EARTH DAY and how my company I work for aided in going green. Unfortunately my sketch did not scan well.

On the left there is a question : What do you get with 5 young elephants in a room?

There were a couple of choices:

A circus training

A enormous appetite for peanuts

The equivalent pounds of recycled electronics.

The first image was a big top circuit, then peanuts then piles of electronics.

This is huge because there are so many electronics that need to be recycled and what happens to them?

My finished product. Joe Satriani book cover.

He is one of my all time favorite guitarist. The faces background is called the Blue Donnie and the picture of him is from his album cover super colossal,

Satriani Book!

As soon as I saw this assignment I knew who I was doing it about and how I wanted the cover to look. Joe Satriani is one of my 2 favorite guitarist. He is a masterful player as well as having some of the most unique guitar art. One of my favorite is his Faces guitar. This is a bunch of screaming and smiling hand drawn skulls that overlap on a guitar. I decided to use that as the background for the book's cover and back. I mig use it for the spine also.

I will also display Joe's guitars over the years and the different art work on them,

Here is my book sketch.

This Should look great when the project is done!

This is part 2 of module 3 "Awareness". I saw this when driving past a church in my neighborhood. I chuckled out loud when I saw it. Basically it is to get people not to text while driving.

I used the shapes in photoshop and decided to go with 2 cars instead of a car and a truck.

My public awareness is No Texting while driving.  I was driving home the other day and I saw the sign infornt of a church saying Honk if you love Jesus.. Text if you want to meet him! I thought that was really funny but got the point across.

So my idea is to show a distracted driver texting while speeding into a stop truck/

M02 CP - Photomontage (Part 2)

BLACK UNICORN
FROM HELL'S HEART TOUR 2013

So I took my final sketch and this is the finished product. It does differ a little from the original sketch a little.

I used the Iglesia Font from the website datafont.com  I then went to cgtextures.com for the big over lay back ground.

In order to make the Unicorn the way I wanted I used the custom shape tool and selected the one that looked like a shield. I then started to manipulate the drawing a bit. For the 2 symbols by 20 13.. that is also from the custom tool menu.

Since I could not do a good shading and design on the unicorn, I just went very basic.

M02 CP - Photomontage (Part 1)

Since I have nor artistic bones in my body as far as drawing I am finding this course to be much more difficult that I originally thought.

The name of my fictitious band is  Black Unicorn. They are a heavy metal band that  is branded on being very dark. I used the a unicorn as it is always perceived as good and gentle and made it black opposed to white.

This should darken the image of the band.

This is the concept for their up coming unreleased imaginary album... From Hell's Heart.

I had about 10 pieces of paper that had many drawings but I was going in 100 different directions.  Some not so good to this.. which is still not that good.

The first sketch is a rough mock up of the cd/album cover. I must have hit my head and had a concussion when coming up with this.

The final image is short and to the point. I wanted to go with a goth type font.

The next image would be the final album cover.
